How you get paid for sales and how fees are handled on Abba Baba.
This guide explains the flow of funds for sales referred by AI agents through Abba Baba. It covers how you receive payments (payouts) and how our "Pay Per Sale" fee is processed.
Key Concepts
- • Customer Payment: Customers always pay you directly through your own store's checkout process. Abba Baba never handles the customer's payment.
- • Pay Per Sale Fee: Abba Baba's 5% fee is billed to you separately, based on attributed sales.
How You Receive Customer Payments
Because Abba Baba is a referral platform, the payment process for a customer is the same as any other sale on your site.
- 1. Referral: A user is sent from an AI agent to your product page.
- 2. Checkout: The user adds the product to their cart and completes the purchase using your store's existing checkout and payment processor (e.g., Shopify Payments, Stripe, PayPal).
- 3. Fulfillment: You receive the order notification as usual and are responsible for fulfilling the order. The funds from the customer (minus your payment processor's fees) are deposited into your account, just like any other sale.
How Abba Baba's Fee is Paid
Our 5% "Pay Per Sale" fee is handled separately, after the customer has paid you. This ensures a clean separation of funds and simplifies accounting.
For Shopify Merchants
The 5% fee for all attributed sales within your billing period is automatically added to your monthly Shopify invoice. You don't need to do anything extra; it's handled seamlessly by the Shopify Billing API.
For WooCommerce & CSV Merchants
The 5% fee is calculated at the end of each monthly billing cycle and charged to the payment method you have connected via Stripe.
Example: If in a month, AI agents refer $1,000 in sales to your WooCommerce store, you will receive $1,000 from your customers via your payment processor. At the end of the month, Abba Baba will charge a fee of $50 (5% of $1,000) to your connected Stripe account.
Viewing Your Financials
Your merchant dashboard provides a clear overview of all financial activity.
- • Dashboard Overview: See your total referred sales and estimated fees at a glance.
- • Attributed Orders: A detailed log of every order attributed to an Abba Baba referral.
- • Invoicing: Download detailed invoices for your records from the "Settings" → "Billing" page.
