Product Optimization Guide

Improve your product listings to increase visibility and attract more AI agent referrals.

Optimizing your product data is the most effective way to improve your ranking in AI agent search results. Because agents rely on data to make decisions, the quality and completeness of your product information directly impact your sales.

Goal of Optimization

The goal is to provide rich, structured data that allows AI agents to fully understand your product's features, benefits, and ideal use case, enabling them to confidently recommend it to their users.

Key Areas for Optimization

1. Product Title

Go beyond a simple name. A descriptive title helps agents match your product to specific user queries.

Less Effective:

"Winter Coat"

More Effective:

"Men's Waterproof Down Parka for Extreme Cold"

2. Product Description

This is your opportunity to "talk" to the AI. Use detailed, natural language to explain what your product is and why it's great.

  • Explain the Benefits: Don't just list features; explain how they help the user (e.g., "Gore-Tex material keeps you dry in heavy rain").
  • Ideal Use Cases: Mention who the product is for and what situations it excels in (e.g., "Perfect for daily commuters" or "Designed for professional photographers").
  • Include Key Specs: Add materials, dimensions, weight, compatibility, etc.

3. Attributes and Categories

Structured data is critical for filtering. The more complete your attributes, the more often your product will appear in filtered searches.

  • Be Specific: Use the most specific category possible (e.g., "Men's Trail Running Shoes" instead of "Shoes").
  • Fill Everything In: Always provide data for fields like `brand`, `color`, `size`, and `material` whenever possible.

4. High-Quality Imagery

Provide multiple high-resolution images from different angles. Include lifestyle shots showing the product in use. This data contributes to your overall quality score.
