Products Not Syncing

Diagnose and resolve common issues preventing your products from appearing on Abba Baba.

One of the most common issues merchants face is products not appearing on the Abba Baba marketplace after setup. This guide provides diagnostic steps to identify and resolve the root cause.

First Time Setup?

Initial product sync can take 5-60 minutes depending on your catalog size. Check your sync status in the merchant dashboard before troubleshooting.

Diagnostic Checklist

Follow these steps in order to identify the most common sync issues:

Step 1: Verify Product Status

Abba Baba can only sync products that are active and published in your store.

Shopify

  • • Products must be set to "Active" status
  • • Products must be available on "Online Store" sales channel
  • • Check that inventory is greater than zero

WooCommerce

  • • Products must be "Published" (not Draft or Private)
  • • Product visibility must be set to "Catalog and search"
  • • Stock status should be "In stock"

CSV Upload

  • • Status column must be set to TRUE or 1
  • • Published column must be set to TRUE or 1
  • • Required fields (title, description, price) must be present

Step 2: Check App Permissions

Incorrect permissions can prevent access to your product catalog.

Shopify App

  • • Go to Apps → Abba Baba in your Shopify admin
  • • Verify the app has "Read products" permissions
  • • If missing permissions, try reinstalling the app

WooCommerce Plugin

  • • Navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API
  • • Find the Abba Baba API key
  • • Ensure it has "Read" access for products

Step 3: Review Sync Errors

Check your merchant dashboard for specific error messages.

  1. 1. Log in to your Abba Baba merchant dashboard
  2. 2. Navigate to Products → Sync Issues
  3. 3. Look for error messages like:
    • • "Missing Image" - Add product images
    • • "Invalid Price" - Check price formatting
    • • "Description Too Long" - Shorten description
    • • "Missing Required Field" - Add missing data
  4. 4. Fix issues in your store - products will re-sync automatically

Step 4: Manual Re-sync

If corrections haven't synced after 30 minutes, trigger a manual sync.

Note: Use manual sync sparingly as it uses significant resources.

  1. 1. Go to Settings → Store Connection in your dashboard
  2. 2. Click "Force Full Product Re-Sync"
  3. 3. Wait 10-15 minutes for the process to complete

Step 5: Product Requirements

Ensure your products meet our minimum requirements:

  • Title: 3-200 characters, descriptive
  • Description: 10-5000 characters, informative
  • Price: Valid currency format, greater than $0
  • Images: At least one image, max 10MB per image
  • Category: Properly categorized in your store
  • SKU: Unique identifier (optional but recommended)
